13 September - Lady Porter, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire joins us to celebrate community and the VoY achievement at the Patronal Festival.

The Village of the Year  presentation in the school hall on 3 April. On 23 April we heard that we’ve won the Southern Area!

James Hellem completed the Marathon des Sables in the Sahara, 151 miles, six gruelling days raising money for cancer research.  A music night in the Calleva added over £150 to his total.

Talent night at Silchester School - the annual showcase for our youngsters lived up to expectations, a thoroughly enjoyable evening.  Thanks to Jon Saltmarsh who took the pictures.

Silchester Magazine celebrated its 50th birthday with a gathering of both current and past team-members, some travelling long distances to be with us - have a look and see who you can recognise from the past.
The re-birth of the village market continues to attract both stalls and customers - March saw the second of what is planned as a monthly event in the Village Hall.
